In the post-war period of Japan, he received almost unanimous approval in reviews from both practical and academic segments of Japanese industry. The favorable reviews accorded to his management books had both and uplifting and disconcerting effect on Drucker. On the other hand he realized his insights were from observing Japanese style of management, in probing the community-based practice in Japanese fashion.
