As a result, the concrete contained blast furnace slag could make hard layer of calcium sulfate dehydrate on the concrete surface when the specimen was soaked in the sulfuric acid solution. Therefore, the hard layer reduced carbonation of the concrete. Also carbonation of the concrete contained blast furnace slag could be reduced when the specimen was soaked in the hydrochloric acid solution.
