However, the revitalization of the old Nakasendo shopping street has become an urgent issue due to the change in the commercial center and the increase in the number of vacant stores as a result of the transition of traffic. Therefore, industry, government, academia, and Konosu citizens collaborated to launch the \"Old Nakasendo Shopping Street Revitalization Project\" in April 2022 with the aim of revitalizing the old Nakasendo shopping street.
